Where has the summer gone?
So many of our area schools are starting classes within the next couple of weeks. I am so thankful that our school district doesn't begin classes until August 31. For us, June is filled with Vacation Bible School, Boy Scout Camp, 4-H Camp, and the picnic and Mass at our local church. July is all about County Fair. Mostly it's getting ready for our own Fair, but this year I was asked to judge events at other counties' fairs, so we spent some days doing that.
August is the only time we get to feel we a have a true "summer". We finally have time to go biking, picnicking, read books, nap on Sunday afternoons, and just enjoy having the kids home all day and being a family.
